The pictures I have sent are of my
belly casts. The first is after the plaster application and before painting, and
the second is the finished product.
When I make the casts, I use a live pregnant model. She's normally in her 8th or
9th month of pregnancy, so she's at her roundest.
I start by having the mom lay in a semi-reclining position and use the
rigid wrap and room temp. water. One belly uses
approximately 1 1/2 to 2 rolls of wrap.
When finished I allow that to set for 24 hrs, then apply a layer of
plaster of paris and
allow that to set for 48 hrs before sanding and painting.
The moms I cast for love to hang these on there nursery walls as keepsakes of
there pregnancy.
