Monarch butterflies are trending for spring and summer, you can also add faux foliage, flowers, even birds! The possibilities are limitless! Activ-Wire Mesh is easy to shape with hands, provides excellent finite detail yet is strong enough to use as the base of your projects, it has a flexible memory and it’s oven proof, you can be as creative as you want with your sculpting projects. Warning: Wire Mesh has sharp edges, wear gloves while working for optimal protection.
Materials Needed:
- 2 packages of Activ- Wire Mesh (12”x24”)
- 1 lampshade
- 1 pair of protective gloves
- 1 cutter
- Pliers tools
- Measuring tape
- PVC Roller (from ACTIVA Clay Roller Kit)
- Decorative butterflies on a clip
Step 1:
Remove the fabric from the lampshade by using the cutter
Step 2:
Open the packages of ACTIV-Wire Mesh and using the roller, start shaping and removing the lines in the mesh
Step 3:
Using the pliers or your fingers, wrap the wire on the lampshade structure
Step 4:
Start adding butterflies
Step 5:
Have fun designing your project, maybe add some butterflies on the wall too!
